THE CLEANUP CRUE is a one-of-a-kind troupe of singers/voice actors/actors/ comedians/musicians, including several Grammy and Emmy winners and nominees. They met while working in various L.A. recording studios, and soon learned that they had the following things in common:
- Each member is a musical artist in their own right, loves live performance and studio work.
- Along with their musical training, each member is highly skilled in comedy, improv, and acting.
- Each member is a first-call “utility infielder” in the session singing and voice acting worlds, delivering that hard-to-define magical “something” that you need.
- Each member has a positive, fun, “get-the-work-done” attitude!
- Each member is a big “fan of the silly”!
As the entertainment industry has begun needing voice actors who can sing in styles other than theatrical or classical, each member has honed their “character” singing abilities. Excelling in group settings, the dynamic Crue vocalists can create a tapestry of different characters or a blended choral sound.
VOILA!…THE CLEANUP CRUE was born! A true hybrid: a “singing loop group”…a fresh new concept.
The Cleanup Crue is the first self-contained group of vocal soloists who can blend together beautifully (or not, as required!).
The Cleanup Crue can sing in virtually ANY style; improvise unique characters on the spot; do celebrity singer sound-alikes; voice match; “stunt sing” for non-singing actors; and/or make vocal “sound effects”.
The Cleanup Crue is a group of talented friends who work together beautifully, intuitively and regularly. This well-oiled machine gets the job done AND has fun in the process! Because of their versatility, there’s no need to pay a casting agent or hire 2 or 3 separate groups, thereby resulting in significant production savings.
